Hi all, a friend of mine sent me this link describing a patent on a new I-Q Mixer invention. I looked at the schematic and I did a quick run on the description. Here is the link http://www.faqs.org/patents/app/20120264364 as you will see I did not understand where the invention is ...the "mixer is a QSD using JFETs, maybe the "invention" are the stages between the QSD and the OPAs, comprising 4 JFETs and some filters. It maybe a Softrock with filters on baseband I would appreciate some comments from Dan Tayloe too. Best 73 Gian I7SWX

Sorry Gian but I don't see anything 'new' here. The first four FETs appear to be a common gate buffer
