Bill,

I think the application note you mentioned from 1979 is on this page if I
linked correctly.

Last year in reply to Msg #7167, Lasse SM5GLC provided to the group a scanned version of AN72-1 and another app note by Ed Oxner "Junction FET's In active Double Balanced Mixers".

The link provided by Lasse is still working

http://ehydra.dyndns.info//NG/emrfd/Siliconix%20FET%20mixers/

I haven't yet managed to find AN85-2 but the closest thing to that (I think) is an article published in Ham Radio Magazine March 1988 titled "High dynamic Range Mixing with the Si8901".I have attached the copy I have found on the internet.

Nick,
just had a chance to check... the AN85-2 is at hand, and if you still need it I may find a scanner to copy.
Let us know....

Hi Lasse,

thanks for the reply. Of course I am interested (!!!), and I think that it would be nice for everyone in this group to get their hands into that knowledge.

If it is not a big trouble, and you can obtain access to a scanner, I (personally) would greatly appreciate it!

thanks,
Nick, SV1DJG

Dear Lasse, This is a nice compendium of recovered papers in one location. And as you say, "More to follow", is enticing...

These papers are classic. Please find a way to preserve them in legacy, beyond your physical being.

By-the-way Siliconix was one of first semiconductor companies "Silicon Valley" - California; and there are some interesting facts about the founder of Siliconix:

Siliconix was formed in the early 1960's by a woman scientist and engineer Ms. Frances Hugle. Anyone with knowledge of the 1960's will acknowledge Ms. Hugle must have faced high commercial and/or inter-personal gender barriers to overcome. Perhaps Ms. Hugle kept a journal?

Again Lasse, if you intend to compile more Siliconix papers on your archive. Please add some reference to Ms. Hugle. And stick to the "Provable Facts" - only regarding her legacy (the Web is a dangerous place when it comes to opini

:)
Glad to hear you like it!
Guess by posting on internet, they spread like wild flower and should be
available to each and everyone!
I may have some application notes printed in some data books to post,
but if someone do have relevant docs, I would be happy to post them on
my page.

73 and have fun designing and building
