There is no isolation between any of the PI sections in the kits mentioned.
I would expect that could be an issue in some extreme cases.
I would want to minimize/eliminate the chance of bleed through when a
precise measurement is taken. Maybe I am too picky.
My HB step attenuator is based on the project in the 1990 ARRL Handbook. I
don't think I have $10 in the junk box project.
I put a copy in my homebrew signal generator with good results.

The resistors will be 0805 and 0603 and the switches will be "surface-mounted" as NA5N did it.
It will look much better when it's finished. :)
