Hi all,

Martein, PA3AKE, has just updated his web site regarding his high performance transceiver.

This is a major update involving the 5 new boards designed from scratch over the last 2 years. A high performance back-end has been added to complement the frontend into a complete finished receiver signal path from antenna to speakers. You will see how the SDR technology has enter into this analog transceiver. DDS local oscillators and Controller + Software will be added next to finalize the receiver.

See: http://www.xs4all.nl/~martein/pa3ake/hmode/receiver_intro.html (Down Conversion Receiver).

I would suggest that you take a look at Martein's latest offering in receiver design . It is quite extensive and up to his usual professional standards. Really, you should go through the major parts of the project also.

Enjoy your reading and see how the radioamateur homebrewing can be no second to the best commercial manufacturers products.

It's a very very impressive project... and I still have to start winding
the torroids for the pre-selection filters :)

My initial plan was to use the frontend but complimen with a SDR/DSP
style IF/Decoder.
But reading about Marteins IF strip I get itching to go this route...
well I have to make decide what to do!
