Message Date From Subject 5924 2011-03-16 19:54:39 Bill Kelsey New Kit at Kanga US I am pleased to announce that I have a new kit ready to go. Craig -
AA0ZZ - has designed an Si570 based vfo/signal generator that will work
as a daughter card on the PICEL III, or as a standalone unit with a
control board. The Si570 daughtercard is $45, and the control board is
$45. If they are purchased at the same time the total cost is $80.
Shipping is $5 for one or both in the US. DX locations will be at cost.
The unit works between 10 and 157 MHz with a 1 Hz resolution. I can be
used with a Quadrature Sampling Detector on 80 - 10 meters, or with a
standard mixer on 30 - 2 meters.
The control board has two push buttons, a rotary encoder, and a 2x16
LCD. The software source code for the 16F88 is available.
More info is available on my web site at:
http://www.kangaus.com/si570_project.htm
and on Craig's web site (includes all documentation, schematics, etc.)
at:

The kits are packed and ready to go!

I assume these will be available at the FDIM vendors night at Dayton ?
Will you be taking pre-orders this year ?
I'll certainly be wanting the VFO and controller - not sure what else yet.
