I was hoping someone on the list would be willing to duplicate theirs for me and make an ISO available or slip it in the mail. I'd be happy to reimburse for postage, but I'd rather not have to buy the book again to get the CD.
Thank you,
Troy

fractured CD. A case of rough handling in International mail.
I can do with an ISO.

sent me a whole new book, which I was able to donate to a worthy recipient.

help at all, it seemed as if she was unaware of the very existence of
the book. Given your experience, perhaps I ought to try again.

Some two years ago I was downloading a file from the EMRFD CD and it just shattered. Unfortunately it took the CD player with it!
I emailed the ARRL, pubsales@arrl.org) explained what had happened and ask if it was possible for them to send a replacement CD.
It eventually arrived with a very friendly note from Zoƫ Belliveau, KB1MPK who has the splendid title of Senior Product Fulfillment Representative!
She even sent a follow-up email a couple of weeks later to ensure that all was well.
from a very Senior Fulfilled ARRL Customer.

The recent thread re the EMRFD CD got me thinking about it's content. It was first published in 2003 so was probably first compiled the year before.
I wonder what additions Wes W7ZOI, Rick KK7B and Bob W7PUA would make if they were compiling the CD today.
What other References, Articles, Software etc would other Group members consider to be essential some 8 years on?

I shattered my EMRFD CD a year or two ago but have found that:
1. W7ZOI has new updated LADPAC software on his website
2. ARRL members can download QST articles from the ARRL website
I know there were some non-QST articles on the CD (Carver's in particular I remember, and there were some KK7B microwave-oriented articles too) and some DSP software too, and I'm not sure where I'd find those exact materials on the web.
It is certainly true that "you never miss it till it's gone" and I felt kinda despondent after shattering the CD about not having LADPAC until I found a new improved version at W7ZOI's website.
The thing about having access to the archive of QST articles on the ARRL website is a huge huge advantage to members. I might have toyed with the idea in the past, but there is no way in hell I'd ever consider giving up my ARRL membership to save a few bucks now, and the real clincher is access to the old QST's
