During my long time in RF electronics one of the tricks I learned was design my filters for a termination impedance of 200 ohms. This yielded reasonable filter components and permitted me to use twisted pair transmission line transformers for the impedance transformations. For HF and even VHF using Ferrite Beads, the transformers were reasonably small and provided the necessary transformation over a very wideband of frequencies. Ken - AE1X
