I have created a new mailing list for the purpose of trading or
selling (or bartering) surface mount components.

I have many that I don't have an immediate need for, and I'd gladly
trade them for components that I do need, so identifying who has what
is the first step.

All are welcomed to join, no strings attached.

You will have to make a pertinent comment of some sort before being
allowed to join, this is strictly an antispam measure.

Enjoy.

Great idea!
BTW the URL is not working, you got a space too many between group and
Electronic, but that was easy fixed :)

Maybe this time the idea will catch on and take off. Such a group already
exists on Yahoo, smttraders, started in April 2002. But it never caught on
and not much of anything ever happened. I can't say for sure who started it;
it might have been AE4IC but I can't check to see who the moderator is since
I left the group a year or two ago. It was pretty pointless; not only was it
almost completely dead, all it got was spam :-) The last activity was in
2006 with 10 posts (all spam), one in 2005, 5 in 2003 and 27 in 2002. That's
a total of 43 posts in the last 6 years, of which a few were actually
on-topic. And there are only 14 members :-) But perhaps the time is right
for the concept now. (I'll certainly give it a try myself.)
