I've designed a 3rd-order cap-input LPF using Elsie, but I want to convert it from single-ended to differential. Seems to me that halving the L value and putting one in each line should do the trick. Yes? thx Michael VA3SSP

Yes... if you do have the same impedance over the balanced ports as with your "normal" filter -------L--------

Thanks! I'm quite happy with myself ;-) I wanted to minimize impedance variation, and after trying several different designs, I noticed that Butterworth and Bessel were both pretty bad, but in different directions (I think those were the ones). Anyway, I started playing with values, and got to a point where the Z curve was essentially flat! And the filter response was still good. Nice...
