I have uploaded some pictures of my version to the Photos section
under Ultimate_Tx_II.
This was built from the Kanga_Us kit that was offered in the QST
article.
I haven't put it in the case yet, as I'm still working on mods for it.
I've added multiple crystals, but I want to implement electronic
switching of them, as the long wire lengths seem to affect the
oscillator. I'd also like to get a larger variable cap for the TXO I
am attempting to add.
As you can see, I am an old Heathkit fan, and created a front panel
overlay with photoshop. The idea is to print this photo out at

Very nicely done. I like the retro Heath look, its very classy. I hadn't
thought of splittting out the oscillator onto a separate board. but can see some
advantages, more real estate for switched crystals, super txo, or dds.
