I suppose that there must be a good reason for such decision...But like so many others in Europe, I used to buy parts at Dan's. Just putting some dollars in an envelope with a copy of my 'wishlist' was perfectly ok for order and (pre-)payment, and many parts that were difficult or impossible to find (..or overly expensive..) on this side of the pond arrived just a week or so later. Not any more... unfortunately...73 Paul - on4bxz

I've done it -- not for free, but always to the mutual advantage of both the offshore buyer and me.There are a few places I won't ship to, either because of US export restrictions (your UHF ceramic capacitors or teflon PCB material may be a "weapon") or because the customs agencies in the country of destination are more corrupted than a beefsteak that's been left on the sun for two days. And YES I will happily transship from Tier-1 disti houses who want to charge $100 to fill out a customs declaration and charge 10X actual shipping cost. As long as:1) I get paid in $USD before I ship2) It's legal to ship3) ALL paperwork is 100% complete and 100% truthfulAnd to a small degree, I get quid pro quo. Usually this means something like I order extra parts to the next price break-point, ship you your parts, and pay for mine to add to my parts box.The last time I did this, a gentleman in Australia got a huge shipment of big ferrite beads for coaxial baluns and other applications for less than half the cost from a certain US Tier-1 disti, I got nearly as big a pile almost for free, and we shared full disclosure on the economics of the deal. He was delighted and so was I, and I have a free coaxial balun in the air (cost of the necessary RG-393 not included...). His mates in Oz put together three or four coaxial baluns, and ALL are delighted. So there are ways around arbitrary shipping restrictions. If I were in this hobby for commercial profit, I wouldn't do things like this because there's not a big enough margin. Since I'm not in it as a business, I have a little more freedom to help fellow hams.73Jim N6OTQ15018 2018-08-18 12:19:30 Paul - on4bxz Re: Dans Small Parts Leroy and Jim,Thanks guys for offering the possibility!Have no 'urgent need' for any specific parts right now, but I 'll sure keep this in mind.73 Paul, on4bxz
