they where purchased by Intersil. The EL2004 is no longer made
and I would like to build a FET scope probe that used this device.
Anyone know of a substitute or where to obtain the EL2004?
Thanks Joe1342 2008-01-17 20:11:17 kerrypwr Re: Elantec IC The LH0063 is a similar device but rated to 300 MHz, not 350 as the 2004;

Futurlec have them;

Darn; just checked and they are out-of-stock. So are Digi-Key. So
are Maxim. :((
But Futurlec have the LH0033;

Only 100 MHz, though, but 1/4 of the price!1343 2008-01-17 21:53:51 kerrypwr Re: Elantec IC What about the OPA656?

Availably cheaply;

One of these in the probe, configured as a buffer with high input
impedance and 50-ohm output into the cable (RG-58); another one at the
'scope end of the cable with its input matched to 50 ohms and a
low-impedance output to the 'scope.
Just thinking-out-loud! :)1344 2008-01-18 05:51:43 bkopski Re: Elantec IC 1345 2008-01-18 11:48:56 kerrypwr Re: Elantec IC Brilliant, Bob!!
All the design work is done.
In view of the apparent unavailability of the Elantec device this
seems to meet the OP's requirements.
