the RD16HHF01 that i used exhibited 40 db IMDR at 4 watts. This already puts it in the 56dbm output intercept. i suspect that this can be even higher but for the driver chain. the circuit is in the emrfd's pictures at https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/emrfd/photos/albums/646547507 - f

Looked at the picture... I hope this is a drawing error.  The gate of the RD16 is not returned to a bias source or ground. When I've actually made that error it either worked and sometimes not or crowbars the power supply. Allison

oh, yeah i didn't capture that one. the bias is supplied through a 10k resistor reading off a pot that goes from 0-5v, regulated and bypassed at RF and AF. - f

What bias current do you have your RD16HHF01 set for in this circuit, Ashhar? Bob, K1AO

i used 600 ma. the critical stage is the driver. if you have cascade.exe from th3 EMRFD then play with it by simulating a power chain.
