This might be interesting to some folks.  For 2 years since I got my FT-450D  I've had some birdies in certain places on the dial.   Comcast just send me a new free 50mbs Wi-Fi modem/router and all my birdies have disappeared.

I have DSL at my house.  Need to make a SA sweep to see what is out there.

Not sure the cake pan would help.  The DSL cable is twisted pair all the way back to the distribution vault, where it is converted to fiber for transport back to the CO.

Can't hurt to try.  Between that, a pie plate under it, and the RF chokes on ALL the gozintas and gozouttas, you would block the paths for common-mode RF egress.

Why not unplug the wall wart that powers the router? If the birdies cease, you have verified the source and can proceed accordingly.
