Hi all Can anybody recommend a book as an alternate for A. I. Zverev's Handbook of Filter Synthesis the prices on ebay and amazon are way too expensive for me. regards fernan

There is no good alternative to Zeverev as I know, but the book is avaible in an re-printed paperback issue that is a bit cheaper than the orginal bound version. If you live in the United States, go to your local library and see if they participate in the inter library loan program where they will go outside their own library system and request your book to be sent to them from a different library system. If they do, chances are they can get the book for you. Generally it takes 2 to up to 6 weeks for them to get the book for you. When you finally get it, just get the information you need out of it and then return it to the library. That is how I got my hands on Zverev's book. Try bookfinder.com, and also set up a watch list on ABEBooks.com. Eventually you will probably find a useful copy at a reasonable price. This has worked well for me for decades when trying to locate a readable copy of a rare technical book at a reasonable price. Cheers, DaveD
