I Read with interest concerning your RF generator project. I wish to modifiy an old RF generator to use its LC and Band switching with your osc and leveling circuits. I would love to see what you use for the wide band unity gain buffers in your schematic. I was thinking of a fet input,bipolar output 2 stage unit with feedback. Am I on the right track? Hi John et al - I am adding the 50 MHz RF Generator schematic and a spread sheet detailing the inductors used in mine to the Files section. Of course, I cannot say how well a retrofit of the active circuitry into an existing bank of inductors/tuning capacitor would work. I can say that the tank circuits illustrated here are the result of many trial winds so off hand I'd guess a retrofit would be challenging. But - the idea is appealing so if you would find success with that I'm guessing the Group would welcome your sharing the info as would I! Please feel free to inquire further as you wish.
