Hi all, I am looking for a copy of an old 'Ham Radio'-article: " Near linear tuning with dual eccentric pulleys ", Ham Radio, January 1990, page 53, by N2DCH. The article describes a mechanical solution on how to transform a VFO with capacity-linear varco into a pseudo frequency-linear one... I would like to try this mechanical 'trick' with the combination of a VFO that has a capacity-linear varco in it and a slide-rule type scale. Can somebody provide a scan, pse? Thanks, Paul - ON4BXZ

There is mention of this process in the EMRFD book.  I am looking now but memory says it was something like a "poor mans spectrum analyzer".  I think in the homebrew test equipment area. Hope this helps Bill KD5YYK
