Just a follow-on note to Wes' mention of the G4JXX HYCAS kit. I built a pair, have the first one in a receiver at the moment, and could not be happier. The board, roadmap and parts quality are very nice, the finished product yielded a textbook gain/AGC response curve, and it sounds great. Communication with Mike was easy, and he's very user friendly. No interest in this other than seeing Mike succeed with these, I'd been waiting for a quality, thru-hole plated board for quite some time, and Mike's kit really filled that need. And thanks to Wes for mentioning Mike's efforts! Scott KA9P
