the following link used to provide considerable material on mixers with special emphasis on "H" mode.  The link appears dead.

Anyone know if PA3AKE's material is still available?

Hello Bob,

I am living in the Netherlands and can't access it either.

You might ask him via email.  Per QRZ.COM his email address is pa3ake@veron.nl

Martein's website is still up. There's something faulty in that link.  This link to the introductory text worked fine:

This "receiver_intro.html" link works. But the links embedded in the introduction, links to the sections detailing the design of each subsystem, do not work.
I haven't talked to Martein for quite a few months, I sent him an email and told him. I presume he will reply and I'll relay info he gives on his site.

I have a cache of his website with me in case any specific page is needed. i would imagine that archive.org has it all anyway.

Bob,

You may want to try the Internet Archive -- the "Wayback Machine" -- I found a few things there:

After searching for the root http://martein.home.xs4all.nl in the Internet Arcive, you get a calendar like page with when updates were done and captured.

Let us know if you find what you are seeking.

Your posted link gives me a 404 error, even when I remove sections of it.

You could try the wayback machine - big historical internet archive.

Here is an example:

I guess there might be a problem with XS4ALL or that he is changing host.

Have heard Martein often in pile-ups recently so he seems active :)

Martein sold his city apartment and moved to a country estate with real
antennas. Escrow on the apartment is closing in July
Both his email account and website were to be transferred, but only the
email arrived and the website was closed by his provider.
He will try to have the material restored to the original address, if
not he will have to establish a new URL. So it IS gone, but not "for
Good".

This is good to see.  He has a very informative site that he continues to update.

I received an email from Martein:

"My webpages are back online on the old URL! (http://martein.home.xs4all.nl/pa3ake/hmode/)
It was a bit of ´work´ to get my provider to restore my old account including the old home page. But they did it!
So all is there again, however Google has erased all search engine results to PA3AKE h-mode...
Maybe you can post the news that it has been restored on EMRFD if you are active there."
